CUIABÁ – Cerca de 76 mil alunos da rede estadual desistiram dos estudos após o início da pandemia e os regimes de isolamento social que fecharam as escolas em Mato Grosso. Este é o número de matriculados que não acompanharam o andamento das aulas, nem por apostila, nem online.

O número foi divulgado na segunda-feira (25) pelo secretário de Estado de Educação Alan Porto, em entrevista à rádio CBN. Os evasores corresponderam a 20% dos 380 mil alunos que iniciaram o ano letivo 2020.
“O ano de 2020 foi de tragédia. 20% dos nossos alunos tiveram o a apostilas ou, alguns deles, tiveram o à internet, mas eles evadiram; não acompanharam as aulas nem no sistema apostilado, nem no sistema virtual”, disse.
Uma prévia da situação já havia sido feita pelo Sindicato dos Trabalhadores do Ensino Público de Mato Grosso (Sintep-MT), que apontou uma participação mínima de 20% nas aulas online, entre agosto e dezembro do ano ado.
Hoje, o secretário Alan Porto afirmou que 55% dos matriculados têm o à rede. Outro indicador pode ser extraído do volume de matrículas realizadas na primeira etapa de solicitação via o sistema online da Seduc. Menos 50% das vagas tinham sido preenchidas até o fechamento da inscrição há cerca de duas semanas, após o prazo ser prorrogado.
Conforme o secretário, o cenário de evasão foi forte em todo o mundo. O ano pandemia registrou desistência de quatro milhões de alunos no Brasil.
No caso de Mato Grosso, Alan Porto disse que dentre as dificuldades mais reclamadas estão a falta de tempo para ficar em frente ao computador em casa, nas horas de aula, de referência para a retirada das dúvidas sobre conteúdo e a falta de resposta pelos professores na consulta via redes sociais.
“70% dos estudantes querem voltar a ter aula presencial. Muitos deles reclamaram das condições para estudo em casa, e os professores, por mais que a gente tenha dado treinamento, a gente sabe que muito difícil esse contato [via redes sociais] com os alunos”, comentou.
O secretário apontou ainda que a grande dificuldade neste ano será recuperar a aprendizagem dos estudantes que retrocedeu em 2020. A luta será contra a estimativa de especialista em educação que dizem ser necessário até quatro anos para que os estudantes alcancem o patamar no qual estariam ao fim de aulas normais em 2020.
